Why

we do what we do

We have a fascination for people. We watch documentaries and human interest programs and speak to people from all walks of life. We believe it is important to be informed of as many topics as possible. As a designer you should serve society and therefore be familiar with it.

We have a passion for design. Design is understanding the holistic overview and the minutest detail. We love improving, iterating, researching and – the most important feature of our skill set: listening. Design can make the world – and your organisation – a better place. Finding out how can be challenging, hard, confronting and labour intensive. But if you think good design is expensive you should look at the cost of bad design.

How

we do what we do

We are design strategy consultants and particularly interested in what a design can do to a human being. We have a broad interest, are curious and critical. Very thorough research is important to us and the starting point for everything we do in design. Niels van Roij Design has developed strategies that can identify the core DNA of your business – regardless of whether you make automobiles, products or even laws. We can get to the bare essence. Question the question.

Our studio is in London, our associates are everywhere. Our team has backgrounds in car design, fine art, film, consumer research and product design. Our core team is small and based in London. Our associates network is big and worldwide. We work autonomous, but love to join forces with inspirational companies, brands and people.

We help our clients create both commercially and aesthetically more successful designs, by providing a external view on the perception of their brand, product or service. We join them in the quest to analyse customers, products and trends.

What

we do – and how we could be useful to you

Niels van Roij Design is a London-based multidisciplinary design studio. It specializes in vehicle design, product design and design research. We are a design house – we design cars, products, visions.

We have worked on stands, cars, e-readers, food chains, design strategies, film concepts, boats, shows, exhibitions and have informed politicians of the power of design thinking. Design is not just the styling of a product, although it is an important part of it, design is the development of a strategy. The design process we take our clients through is tailor made and we always stay in close contact with them, so together we can shape a relevant future direction, both for inside and outside of their organisation.

Let’s meet!

We’d love to meet you – in your office, in London, or anywhere else in the world. Drop us a line, let’s meet, let’s collaborate!
